9 years ago I got a letter in the mail from the Mission that prompted me to donate. Since then, I have suffered alcoholism, financial hardship, and depression, but I never stopped donating what little i could to the Mission, since they provide programs for people exactly like me. There are not enough rehab programs in the state of MA to serve the needs of people who suffer from this disease, but I'm proud to say I can help one that does. I am not a person of any organized religion but I do believe that generosity and love beget generosity and love and THAT is all that matters. The Mission is clearly doing that.
