WFAS is a place where people get to go and meet the animals they typically think of as food. There they get to interact with the animals and see that they have personalities, feelings, and lives that they enjoy living - when given the opportunity. So many people - particularly those from cities have never even seen a real turkey or never seen how playful and smart a pig is. WFAS provides people the opportunity to rethink their relationship to animals - all animals - not just their companion animals. In fact it helps people to understand that in fact, there really isnt much of a difference between their beloved cats and dogs and a farm animal. WFAS is a place of hope and peace - wonderful experience for people of all ages
