NCOA stands distinct among national aging organizations by not only being mission driven but driven by a meaningful mission. NCOA is committed to those activities and programs which benefit older people in need by aggressively directing them to benefit programs to. which they are entitled. This is an overlooked need which NCOA has recognized as a social value proposition. This commitment has driven important and significant public and private funding to them. Those who invest in NCOA's work in this area see a unique return on investment in terms of deliverables which are measured in the ability of older people to live a better quality of life and those federal programs they become entitled to better fulfill their intent. I have a longstanding history with NCOA working in my different professional capacities but since moving into leadership first on a national advisory council and now on its Board have a closer perspective on their work which I am pleased to share.
