I learnt about Deepalya and its activities when I was persuing my undergraduate degree but never got a chance to visit the organisation to see its activities at ground level. Recently I got a chance to visit their services for disabled in southern part of Delhi. I was really amazed to see the kind of educational services and other supportive services such as vocational training, medical certificates, benefits of pension schemes etc being provided to their beneficiaries. Beside the services, staff of the organisation was also very open to my official visit, which was primarily to know about services to children with disabilities. I got a chance to speak with few parents and found that they were satisfied with there children progress at the centre and the information and services provided to them.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
overall services received by parents of children with disabilities including vocational training, supportive services in terms of certificates and pensions, school transport facilities etc.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
openness of the staff in letting me visit there organisation and meet their staff as well as their benficiaries to get information over the kind of services they offer to disabled children in southern part of delhi
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
they were educated and appropriately qualified for the post they were working on. They were also clear about the tasks and job they need to perform
