Review for GOOD N E W S LIVING AT HOME-BLOCK NURSE PROGRAM, Azle, TX, USA
I have been a volunteer with Good NEWS Living At Home Program for 14 years. The goal of this volunteer-driven organization is to offer seniors the opportunity to stay in their own homes with assistance in the form of home repairs, house cleaning, laundry, food deliveries, transportation. In addition, Christmas wishes are hung on trees throughout the town for families to Adopt-A-Senior; gifts and fruit are delivered by Good NEWS Volunteers, including youth groups from local schools and churches. I have had the privilege of serving many seniors, and I gain as much strength and enjoyment from these visits as our clients do! One senior whose laundry I did on a regular basis was offered a substitute while I was on vacation; she responded, Oh, nobody can do my laundry like Louise does!
