I stumbled upon Erowid back in college when I was researching drugs and was surprised to find it full of useful information. I never once felt like I was being judged or lectured when reading the site, whereas many drug sites spend more time trying to convince you not to do them, as opposed to actually educating you. Erowid is rather unbiased and allows users to share their experiences, both positive and negative. Most of the time reading the experiences causes me to stay away from the drug, and this works far more than the "war on drugs" scare tactics most other sites use. At least the choices I make are more educated due to Erowid--maybe people would make smarter decisions if they had all the information. Erowid provides this.
