CHILDREN AND ARTHRITIS
October 18, 2013

When I adopted my little girl I knew she had Juevenile Rheumatoid Arthritis but didn't know that much about the disease. Right at the six month mark her rheumatologists told me about Jumbalaya Jubilee, a camp for the families and patients effected by JRA. The first year was overwhelming, educational, inspiring and all in between.

This non- profit was started by Dr. Thomas Pressly and his wife Tracie, for the love of children and his passion to see those with JRA thrive and remain hopeful. You can tell that this is not just a practice or even a medical interest of Dr. Pressly's but a heartfelt concern for these kids and a desire to serve them and their families.

I don't know what I would do without the support network of parents I lean on throughout the year that I first connected with at this camp. My daughter has a place and a group of friends that understand her and give her hope and a sense of belonging. She has an opportunity to serve and love those less fortunate than her in their struggle with the disease.

I connect on Facebook, text, phone, through the Children and Arthritis Newsletter and more. I am always wondering how Catherine Pressly leads with such style, finesse and patience during this pinnacle weekend called Jambalaya Jubilee. But I am sure glad she has chosen to commit her time and heart to this wonderful organization.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Help them gain funds and grants to grow the camp, create new camps and conferences for physicians. Add an international arm that would help Children and Arthritis sponsor pilots of the wonderful medicines we have in the United States that manage this disease so well.

HIS KIDS TOO INC
November 4, 2012

I first became aware of the plight of orphans in Ukraine when my family adopted a little girl from the same region where HisKidsToo serves many orphans. This organization is hard working, diligent committed and passionate about helping orphans in this country. I know that the gifts I give will go to the kids in need. I have come to know one of the founders personally and have found her to have integrity and honesty, but mostly a passion to see orphans assisted and loved.

CHILDREN AND ARTHRITIS
November 4, 2012

Children and Arthritis has been a tremendous resource for my family. The camps we attend each year provide friends and support and excellent information on the disease. We are also empowered with strategies to navigate the waters of education for our children. I love the founders of this organization, they care and it shows.
