My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Insight University, Santa Fe, NM, USA
"Insight University" is the faux-secular recruitment facade of the "Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness" cult that has been running since the 1970s. The group is actively harmful, with actions ranging from vandalism and death threats against those who try to leave the cult to its leader's penchant for coerced sex with young boys. I would strongly encourage thorough and cautious research into this group and its founder before any involvement with them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movement_of_Spiritual_Inner_Awareness http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John-Roger#Accusations_of_cultism.2C_criminal_conduct_and_abuse http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20100035,00.html

Thank you for your review. As you have not identified yourself, I will need to respond to you as an unknown, though you refer to yourself as "An Escapee." You apparently have Insight University confused with the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness as that seems to be what you talk about in your review. You haven't written a review on Insight University, so I can only assume that you are not a current student. Insight University offers an Ed.D. in Transformational Leadership. All of the faculty have earned doctorates from accredited schools as required by the State of New Mexico. In addition we have a continuing education division that offers programs serving people throughout the world. Over the last 30+ years over 1,000,000 people have participated in those programs. In reading some of the reviews posted on this site, they seem to have had a very different experience than what you describe above. I don't keep track of the faculty's religious or spiritual focus, so you would have to ask each faculty member what their affiliation is. Further there is no requirement that any student be affiliated with a particular religious or spiritual organization. In fact there is no requirement that they have any religious or spiritual focus. Again, we don't keep track of that information, so you would have to ask each of our students individually. I wish you the best as you sort through whatever long term hurt that you seem to be harboring toward the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness. In Loving Service Gregory Stebbins, Ed.D.
