All I can say is that the WHS is one of the few organizations that when they ask for your support you feel so appreciated afterwards. I am a local dog bakery,Barkley Square Pets, I love to help them with their events by offering our Bark Bars and Hydrant Bars free. I do this because I want to give back to the angels that are in the shelter without a voice. When I agree to do an event with them, you would think I am the Queen of the country. They thank me, they recognize me, they tell others about me..its unbelievable. They truly, truly respect and appreciate those that try to help them. The folks at the WHS are dedicated to their cause. They work tiredless at placing pets in their forever homes. Many times spending hundreds of hours just loving the pets and making sure that they feel a secure and loved while in the shelter. I know for a fact that many of the staff adopt from their own shelter as well as foster. They do not want any animal to feel neglected or unloved. Again I would do anything for the WHS because they are who they say they are and when you help them they make sure to recognize you and not take even the smallest donation for granted.
