My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Mojave Environmental Education Consortium, Victorville, CA, USA
I have participated with MEEC for many years. Through this organization I have participated with the Keystone Science School. They have provided money to take students on environmental field trips. They also present classes through Project Wild & Project Wet. The staff are always willing to help whenever they can. If they don't know the answer they will get the answer or the person who can help you. MEEC is known statewide for the work they do. They sponsor a Youth Environmental Leadership Conference (YELC) where students are presented with a variety of Science, technonogy, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as well as environmental topics to give them ideas to create their own projects. There is monetary help to assist with the projects. My experience with MEEC has helped improve my teaching practice in science and math. I am so glad I have worked with this organization. On their website they provide environmental, math and science links to some really cool things for teachers!
