I have been a supporter of Job Train for over 20 years (back when it was known as OICW). I am so impressed with the work that they do and their clients' success rates. This is truly an effective organization that is helping people out of poverty by providing education, hands-on training, mentoring, and childcare. Their clients are motivated and dedicated to improving their situations through hard work and an interest in learning new marketable skills.

Berkeley Rep is one of the top theatre companies in the Bay Area. Excellent play selections and acting. Innovative new works premiered. Wonderful guest artists doing solo shows. The smaller of the two theaters is an intimate space which, depending on the production, can make you feel part of the play. I especially appreciate the collaboration with Oregon Shakespeare Festival to bring commissioned works to the Bay Area.
