My mother Sheila Douglas is the director of the Mission in Citrus. I came out there on my mother's birthday in July of 2011 after not seeing her for 11 years talking about a birthday surprise. I was in an abuse situation with my husband and needed to get away. So me and my youngest son at the time he was 3 months hopped on a Greyhound in Baton Rouge and headed for the mission. James paid for my bus ticket, and when I arrived there were maybe 40 people standing there at the mission with open arms literally, I had received hugs from every person there. When they say Louisiana is known for their hospitality, the they have no idea about the mission. I felt so welcomed and loved I made some amazing new friends and had so much love and support. I will defiantly return for a Thank You visit. I love the mission and everyone there I promise the mission in Citrus is a true blessing from our Lord and savior. See for yourselves take a visit and I promise you will see the positivity that I saw and still see. Thank you Mission and Citrus!!!!!!!!! ;)
