I first met Ryan Keith, founder of Forgotten Voices, in a Politics class at Messiah College. As a recent alum, Ryan had come back to share with us the work that he was doing in Zimbabwe. I remember being so enthused and so inspired by Ryan's passion and vision. As I finished my time at college and was blessed with a full time job, I began to donate and invest in the ministry of Forgotten Voices. I am so thankful for the transparency of this organization and the work that they do. I love the way that they partner with local communities and churches to bless the people of Zimbabwe. What a great and inspiring organization!

From childhood, my parents would take me to volunteer on Saturday afternoons at the mission. Whether I was peeling potatoes or sorting donations for the thrift store, I loved the opportunity to go and serve at the mission. Now that I'm grown, I take the opportunity to invest in the mission financially. Although I don't get the chance to volunteer as much as I would like, I know that my contributions to the mission make a difference. Each month, we receive an information newsletter telling how lives have been changed and people are being transformed through the work of the mission. I am glad to partner with Whosoever as they continue to minister to the homeless and hurting men of Philadelphia!

As a member of The Energy Co-op, I am proud to be a part of an organization that invests in the local community. Each year when I renew my membership, I am given the opportunity to give the gift of membership to a small business or family in my community. The Energy Co-op offers a dues waiver program for anyone that might be experiencing financial constraints. Because there are no income requirements, members maintain dignity and can continue their membership, despite a difficult financial situation. I like that there is a tangible way that I can help members of my community join together to make sustainable energy choices.
