The YP Foundation
October 16, 2009

YP is a young organisation that believes in empowering the youth to make a difference to the society. I have been working with 'Blending Spectrum' - the branch of YP which works with slum and street children for the past 6 months. What makes YP such a great organisation is its professional running and the freedom given to the volunteers to come up with their own issues, curriculum etc. All the staff and volunteers of TYPF are highly motivated. The experience of working with the kids at the basti has been great. Working with the kids i have learnt far more things than i may have been able to teach them.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with the kids at the basti..

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

so well versed that it could be highly intimidating...but then YP helps every volunteer to carve out a niche for themsleves and feel a part of the organisation.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

diversify into many more issues of concern..

Make A Difference

I could not have thought of a more apt name for the organisation which actually believes in making a difference to the society right from the grassroots. It has been 2 months since i have worked with the organisation and the level of commitment of the children, the volunteers and the management is just outstanding. The organisation is young and has the zeal to excel at the issue we are involved with - the education of underprivileged children. The organisation works very professionaly right from having the responsiblities of each volunteer clearly marked out to having a clear cut curriculum for the children. The look on the childrens faces when you go to meet them every week makes you feel so special and gives you the motivation to work harder. The experience working with MAD has been great and their is still a long way to go and a lot of difference to be made.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the kids...the very fact that they can speak quite a few things in english assures us that the organisation is definitely making a good progress.
