Volunteers, please be warned! I worked with StandUp for Kids virtually for a project as a graphic designer. What they intentionally neglected to mention was that the project was being passed around to a group of individuals, so that I and others were unknowingly competing against one another to make a product. This is both an unprofessional and reprehensible practice as it represents an intentional exploitation of labor from people kind enough to volunteer their services. I do not recommend volunteering any service for this organization. Furthermore, the organization's founder has recently been arrested on multiple charges of sexual assault against a child.
