EPIC acts through research, advocacy, and litigation to protect electronic civil liberties while recognizing the benefits of emerging technologies. The organization also furthers consensus-building through the Public Voice coalition of participating NGOs and facilitates discussion between supporters and policy makers via Facebook and Twitter chat. I've had the pleasure of meeting staff and holding discussions during an international conference on privacy, so I'm also impressed by the leadership's approachability.

This is one organization that does more than take in donations and provide updates. Through its education efforts and strong public presence, both in person and online, EPIC and its staff makes partnering for privacy a reality.
