I have known Maggie Gardner for quite some years now and every time i speak with her, she is always working towards the improvement of healthcare for those who are suffering with cancer. She. being a survivor herself knows the difficulties she has encountered trying to get the proper medical care and services. She is very compassionate and has a great zest for life. Although she has encountered numerous obstacles in her life, she is very optimistic that things will get better. She has made great sacrifices to help others even when it seemed as if she was not getting any help. There were times when she drove people to doctor's appointments, when she didn't feel too great, but she sacrificed her well being to help others who were going through their own ordeal. She has helped numerous individuals who had no where to turn and continues to give 100% of herself and services towards educating the public on the impact of supports and healthcare on a cancer patient and their families. Gardner's House is truly an organization that truly cares about people and prides themselves on being there for those in need.
