My son was diagnosed with food allergies as a baby, he is now 14 years old. At the time when he was diagnosed, there was not much info out there for me, no support, no idea as to what to feed my child, or what was safe for him to eat. I never heard of cross contamination, or how dangerous it was. I stumbled on to Kids With Food Allergies by chance, it literally opened my eyes, and taught me how to navigate the strange new world of food allergies. I have laughed, cried, have received support, given support, and learned. When my son has had to be EPI penned due to his anaphylaxis reactions, the community of KFA has held my hand, and given me the strength to pull my self together. I will never have the ability to express what an impact it has made for my family. My son has other medical issues, but my far the one true organization that I can count on day or night is KFA, if i need advise or help with trying to figure things out, they are always like a shining beacon on a dark night.
