I am the Executive Director of the New Orleans Women’s Shelter where we assist women and their children to transition out of homelessness into a stable and independent lifestyle. The Good People Fund was a blessing to our agency. Naomi Eisenberger and her team visited the New Orleans Women's Shelter a few months ago and very were inspiring to our residents and staff. Naomi and her team were able to see who we were and what we are doing to help homeless women and children in the New Orleans community. They were very supportive and provided us with a wealth of information on various software products, other small non-profit programs, and put us in contact with people who are making a difference in our residents’ lives. One of the many doors Naomi opened was introducing us to a local photographer who came into our shelter and provided several of our residents including an 11 year old girl with an opportunity of a lifetime. Their work included photographing several major events held in New Orleans. Also, under the direction of Naomi Eisenberger and The Good People Fund we were awarded an opportunity to expand on some of our programming. The funds awarded came at a very critical time and for that we cannot thank them enough!
