JSA is an excellent organization that has been life-changing to me. It provides opportunities to not only become a more informed citizen able to defend and debate your viewpoints, but also, since it is student-run, allows high school students to become experienced leaders in their chapter, region, state or the entire Junior State through convention and conference planning, recruiting, maintaining relationships, campaigning etc.
