My 12 year old daughter and I had the privilege of working with Mayan Families for 5 days. We were with a friend and her daughter who were volunteering for their 4th year. I was so impressed by this organization. Having served on boards and working with many non profits over my 20 years in business I can confidently say this is the best NPO out there. I have been back in the states for a week and I cannot stop telling people about Mayan Families or brainstorming on ways that I can help the organization from the states. The amount of work that was done on a daily basis with a limited staff and resources is absolutely amazing. I have never been so touched and changed by any experience before. All the MF staff felt like family to me by the end of the week. We were treated as part of the team, supported as part of the team and I still feel like one of the team working from home. Thank you for all you did for us, I can't wait to get back down to work some more.
