Review for Jewish Women's Archive, Brookline, MA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a historian, I am deeply grateful to JWA for raising awareness of the important, vibrant history of American Jewish women, for contributing to the community by building an incredibly rich website, and for undertaking vital projects such as the oral histories of women from particular American Jewish communities.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

inspiring in their enthusiasm, passion, and dedication.

Review for AMERICAN JEWISH HISTORICAL SOCIETY, New York, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

AJHS is home to a treasure trove of historical materials. It houses vitally important collections and makes them accessible to a wide audience. Virtually anyone who has ever done any kind of historical research related to the American Jewish experience has spent significant time in the archives at AJHS, now housed in a beautiful and state-of-the-art facility at the Center for Jewish History in New York. AJHS is also committed to public programming, which makes it not only a valuable facilitator of scholarship but also an important contributor to public knowledge and awareness.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the dedicated, impassioned people drawn not only to do research there but to support all its activities.
