I met Gerry when she was shopping for just the right thing for her vets. I asked her to tell me her story. She handed me her business card telling me briefly about Grass Roots for the Troops and explained that she was on an urgent mission to fill a need and would be glad to fill me in more about her mission at another time. We did, and I've been working with them ever since. You see I come from a long line of military men. Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force and everyone of them stood out strong to me in my younger years. As an adult I have learned the price they pay to put themselves in harms way, but never complain or boast. We owe a great deal to these soldiers, and it's an honor to work with organizations that really go beyond to meet whatever the need may be.
