My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Childfund International, Richmond, VA, USA
I have been a donor for about two years. The program's concept to enroll donors for a specified child was very appealing to my drive to give something back. I have been relying on the Charity's duty to do what they advertise but have declined sending any Christmas/Birthday cards, coloring books, etc because I resent the idea of paying $9.00 a pop for this to be facilitated. I would rather send postcards and letters directly to the child to show my interest in her progress but want to avoid any additional fees. The dollar amount I have committed is a fixed amount which I don't plan to change anytime soon. (I donated to a large number of other charities already).
I plan to monitor developments regarding this charity’s future disclosures but will continue to support the child till she turns 18. It would be nice if the program would not sell our data. I get way too much solicitation.
