My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Metropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty, New York, NY, USA
I turned to the Met council a few times in the past few years when I had to find furniture/bedding for new immigrants to our community. In one case, a new family to our community had to leave their apartment immediately because their children were getting bitten by bedbugs. Met council provided brand new beds as well as furniture for them in a new apartment that we found for them. In another instance, they provided bedroom furniture for a newly arrived family. They were a real life saver.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
almost no questions asked
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
devoted, caring, anxious to help in any way possible.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
wipe out poverty in our community
Ways to make it better...
I didn't have to ask for help at all
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
money money money
One thing I'd also say is that...
they deserve whatever recognition is available for the tremendous service they provide to the community with care, understanding, and love.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
