My daughter was selected to participate in DITR summer program, Diamond University. The application/selection process was rigorous, but well worth it. My 11-year old was a bit skeptical at first about spending her summer days in a 'program', but soon found it to be one the best experiences of her young life. Diamond University brought in professionals on a daily basis to speak with the girls-only group about careers in science, engineering, and other relevant topics. The girls were given leadership opportunities throughout the camp and even 'home-work' assignments to keep their brains fresh during the summer. Field trip experiences included meeting executives at the headquarters of Chik-fil-a and Coca- Cola. The month long camp went quickly and my daughter is already looking forward to next year. I appreciate the structure, planning, and attitudes of those involved with DITR.

My daughter has had several opportunities to express herself in meetings as well as performances. She considers the leaders to be professional and role models. I have enjoyed participating as well.
