I started off at the Humane Society to fulfill requirements for school, but almost immediately I fell in love with volunteering at it. It's been a wonderful experience being able to work with animals and help the students in the CIA program learn what the program has to offer! I can't wait until my next opportunity to volunteer here.

How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
This experience made me feel like I was making a difference in the community because we actually taught the community the lessons we had learned.
MY ROLE:
Volunteer & I was a student in the CIA program, where I learned proper animal socialization with the shelter animals, as well as a mentor where I helped the students in a later session learn the same things.
