In my role as President of the National Foster Parent Association, I work with various staff members from CWLA on a fairly regular basis. What a pleasure to do so! The staff at CWLA are experts in their fields and their assistance with needs, concerns, training, standards, legislation and pubic policy etc is always timely and relevant. My hope is that CWLA will continue to grow and continue to provide the excellent services and supports they currently provide to so many across this great country. I firmly believe their impact on Capitol Hill is significant and I am proud to work with them to achieve excellence for all children in America.

The National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) is the link between foster parents and national advocacy efforts, their source of information from both the state and national levels, their source for interesting and helpful resources and services available across the country, their "voice" in the federal arena, their a education and training resource through an annual conference as well as partnerships with training companies and individuals from across the country, their source for getting information related to specific needs or concerns, and so much more and all accomplished by a Board of Directors that are all volunteers. NFPA contracts for part-time office assistance and bookkeeping, but all other work is accomplished by the dedicated volunteers who are committed to helping foster parents be the best they can be for the children who must enter the foster care system. NFPA's Mission is "To support foster parents in achieving safety, permanence and well-being for children and youth in care."
