I find it a little suspicious this charity has zero reported fundraising costs. They have a Chief and a Manager on staff as a part of the leadership team who has DEVELOPMENT in their titles. Aren't their purpose within the organization is to raise funds and to manage the $6.2 million in contributions (non program service related)? I am pretty sure they are paid to do said job too. Even if a good percentage of their time can be allocated to programmatic or administrative purposes, their entire salary should not be allocated as solely either a programmatic or administrative expense. How are auditors letting them get away with that? Finally, when you go to their website, their donation page is powered by Fundly, which I know for fact charges money to provide its service. Isn't that alone a fundraising expense? So please tell me how you can conscionably report your fundraising costs as zero, Goodwill Industries of San Francisco.
