Sharon has been gone for years, but she still is the unquestionable leader. Her passion for helping others has spread not only throughout her family and friends but to people who never had the chance to meet her. Watching this organization work is a direct extension of what Sharon spent her entire life doing: loving people. The foundation works to better the lives of women (and their families) affected by breast cancer. Working to support research is certainly needed, but that overlooks the personal toll the disease takes on families. This is the Sharon L. Bassett foundation’s defining quality, their love of people.
