Nathaniel James Shawemail@example.com/323-834-3661/employee & student in the field of chemical dependency: This is an attempt to find out the results of The Mt. Carmel Treatment Center I worked for so that I may include them, regardless of outcome, on my list of experiences held in the chemical dependency treatment field: I worked at Mt. Carmel's treatment center as a house monitor in 10/2009 -to 08/2010 and was laid off. I was pursuing certicates in the counseling field relevent to recovery in especially chemical dependency. I have recently achieved two of the cerificates and seek certification by the state to cousel in these specific fields. It took about a week and my demands for the final check due to me at this treatment site. Today I need to know where this organization has seemingly vanished to so that I can get information from them concerning my employment at this facility. The site where Mt. Carmel Treatment Center was housed is owned by a Mr. Pickett and the main office I knew of was on Figueroa Street (8480 Figueroa Street). Mr. Sharp was my immeidate supervisor but I cannot get in touch with no one who worked at this center as it has been taken over by another recovery entity. Is it possible to find out my employment there at Mt. Carmel or should I just chauk it up as a loss due to, from hear-say, this company folding? I had good feeling about this organization until the sudden lay-off and the delay of final payment due to me. There were some good counselors I thought were doing a great job. I still go to the Wednesday night Narcotics Anonymous meeting at this site where I have celebrated the last four years of my ninteen years in recovery and have made this my home group since I also live in this neighborhood.
