Horsesisters recently had 3 horses removed from their property by Brevard County Animal Services for neglect. After about a month one, a pony, was deemed healthy enough to be returned. He died 6 days after being returned. The other two were released to an adoptive home where they are recovering from emaciation. The director makes many false claims as to the health of the horses and conditions at Horsesisters. The horses are not regularly fed adequate amounts of nutrition. The director does not have CHA accredidation as is claimed on the corporate Website. These comments come from personal observations and court documents. While the director gives the appearance of a knowledgeable horse person, the neglect of animals and the yelling and screaming at volunteers and others is serious cause for concern.
