I've known Amanda and her little creatures for many years (back when one of her "helpers" was a precious pig. I have never met a more intensely dedicated, completey knowledgeable, fiercely devoted professional caregiver. The training she provides and the love she pours into her bats is inspiring. My sister was trained by Amanda. There were always bats in a cooler...bats waiting to be fed... bats waiting to be transferred to another caregiver for whatever that particular bat needed. Email was a new invention and car phones were bigger than a bread box. They still had a network of individuals that put their love of bats first. Whatever it took - they managed to get it done. That foundation of support has grown into the magnificent Bat World of today. Every little bit I get that's extra goes to the well deserving members of the Bat World team. I would readily encourage others to give whatever they can.
