Review for Franciscan Works + Liberia Mission Inc., Skokie, IL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I'm a 20-year-old college student studying social work. My first trip to Liberia Mission was in the summer of 2010. I was nervous, and I had no idea what to expect. As soon as I arrived, I felt at home. Everyone at the mission was kind-hearted and fun-loving. Each day I learned more and more about life in Liberia and the Mission's role in helping Liberians learn to help themselves. I have visited Liberia two more times since then, and I am hoping to return soon. My trip to Liberia Mission helped me to decide what I want to do with my future and how I can use my skills to help others. Everyone who works for and at the Mission spends their time helping those in need. If you want to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity, I suggest you visit Liberia Mission. It's amazing that just one visit will change your entire outlook on life.
