KINGDOM ANIMAL SHELTER INC
October 8, 2009

We started a cat adoption program in 6/08 using volunteers and foster homes. We've adopted out close to 100 cats and kittens. We hold reduced-fee spay/neuter clinics during the year. We have also aided people who have needed some temporary assistance to care for their own or found cats/kittens. We are in the process of opening our own cat adoption center to continue our work with our Kingdom Kats adoption program.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the adoption of close to 100 cats/kittens that had been abandoned or surrendered. The spay/neuter of about 150 cats and dogs in the past year.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to enlist more volunteers.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

knowing we have made a difference and improvement in the lives of many cats and kittens, and prevented the unnecessary litters of numerous dogs and cats by assisting in having them spayed and neutered.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

truly dedicated and committed to improving the lives of the animals, and educating owners in the proper care of their pets.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build a state-of-the-art shelter to house many more animals; implement humane education; have a full-time spay/neuter clinic. We could help many more animals.

Ways to make it better...

we could reach more people and encourage them to spay/neuter their dogs and cats.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

rural location and cultural and societal norms especially regarding cats. Also, other animal-welfare organizations not willing to work together.

One thing I'd also say is that...

we have a great core group of people who have worked hard to provide care and carefully screen potential adopters to ensure to the extent we can our cats are placed into the best homes possible.
