I am pleased to share about a new 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, Yippie Foundation, which is dedicated to helping homeless, foster care and poverty-level youth (ages 16-24) reach their full potential as caring, contributing and family-sustaining citizens through job readiness and life skills training, mentoring, career development, on-the-job trainings and work experience. Students attend a 5-month weekly job-readiness course and meet weekly 1:1 with their mentor. Yippie Foundation is also working to open a self-serve yogurt shop, "Yippie Yogurt" which will help these students get job training and work experience. We project that Yippie Foundation will become a self-sustaining charity and that we can duplicate the program in other locations and license to other nonprofits in the US.
