ALL HANDS VOLUNTEERS extended a guiding hand enabling Sendong Survivors to make the VERY DIFFICULT FIRST STEP of letting go. After the horrifying experience of a great deluge where water level rose to an unprecedented height of 20 feet last Dec 17, 2011, after learning that 12 neighbors and friends died, after seeing your property and personal belongings completely detroyed, it is easy to succumb to mental paralysis, not knowing where to start and what to do next. AHV took down our ceiling, stripped off partition walls and scraped put floor tiles. It was painful to see the home where 18 years of happy memories of our family being torn down. Yes, it was difficult... But we had to make that first step. We will always be grateful that AHV was there not only extendind their services for free but also helping us unload the pain that remained heavy in our hearts by also taking the time to listen to us relate the events of that tragic night. From the homeowners in Emily Homes Subdivison, Balulang, THANK YOU SO MUCH! More Power, All Hands Volunteers!
