My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Indicorps, Ahmedabad, --, India
I was an Indicorps Fellow in 2005-6. I had a tremendous experience. Indicorps facilitated my work with a local grassroots NGO in Delhi, India. I lived and worked as a type of barefoot-paralegal in a slum community, with no prior formal legal training. I attribute much of my success in that volunteer work to Indicorps unique and holistic approach to service.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the holistic approach to development, service, and personal growth.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
highly dedicated changemakers.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
provide similar service opportunities to all major diaspora communities in the US.
Ways to make it better...
the organization had more and more permanent staff.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
maintaining a dual focus on effective service and leadership development in the Indian diaspora.
