We witnessed a fawn get hit by a car this summer near Luckenbach. We picked it up and called WRR. We have property nearby and knew how to get there but when we didn't arrive as quickly as I thought we would, the volunteer called to make sure we knew how to find them. Our little fawn was quickly accepted into the triage area as information was taken. They explained the procedure of rehabilitation to us and we left it in their expert care. I was able to check on it a couple of days later just to make sure it survived. I have made donations to WRR and feel that my money is put to good use. I also placed an order for t-shirts for Christmas. I received a phone call to let me know that they were out of a size. They were able to make a substitution with appropriate credit promptly. Package arrived on time and in good condition. We are thankful to have a place like this nearby. Everyone we have encountered there has been friendly and helpful.
