When I was laid off in 2009, I wasn't sure what to do of where to turn. When I went to Workforce Economics, they helped me find which direction I wanted to take my life in.

The Fox Valley Technical College Foundation helps students like me when we have fallen on hard times. My car broke down and I had no way to get back and fourth to school (yes, I could have taken the bus - however, I have two kids at different schools!). The Foundation gave me a grant called the "Seeds of Hope" which helped me fix my car.

My counselors (and my friend Mayra Latimer) told me about it - they took care of everything...
What, if any, change in your life has this group encouraged?
I had always paid it forward in my life - now I look for ways to pay it forward, instead of them coming to me for help - I seek out those that need help.
MY ROLE:
Client Served & I have fallen on hard times, the Foundation helped me get my car fixed so I could get not only myself to school - but my children to their schools as well.
