Habitat for Horses is an organization that works for horses that have been neglected or abused. When they become aware of a horse that is not being cered for properly, they first try to educate the owners on proper care and if that doesn't take, they pursue legal ways to help the horses into a better life. Horses are not turned away because they may not be adoptable. Horses are not turned away because they may not be able to be saved. If nothing else can be done, the rescued horse crosses the rainbow bridge knowing that its last moments were filled with kindness rather than the harsh treatment it was rescued from.
