My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Florida Keys Youth Sports Foundation, Key Largo, FL, USA
What sets this organization apart from all the others is the amount of time, effort, and hardwork Amy, Scott, and all the volunteers put into this program. I believe that every child feels so special and develops such a sense of self worth after being in the various programs that the FKYSF offer. They learn lesson that they can carry into their lives; lesson of respect for themselves and others and control. Amy and Scotty take time with each and every child. They know them all by name and true interest in them. They do all of this while raising there own family and working full time jobs. All the volunteers have families as well. My children enjoy their time playing sports with the FKYSF.I actually got an email from Amyyesterday that stated the sign up dates for FKYSF Basketball and when I told the kids, you would have thought I'd just told them that I had won the lottery they were so excited.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Meeting all of the people and watching my children grow emotionally.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
I don't know, but they would use it for the good of the children and the community.
Ways to make it better...
I had 10 million dollars!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Finding qualified coaches for their basketball teams. SOO many children want to be apart of this program that there aren't enough people to coach the teams!
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
