AIM HIGH
September 30, 2009

As a woman, a life-long learner, and a professional educator Aim High has changed my life. The healthy, positive adult relationships, opportunities for academic risk-taking, and emphasis on leadership and self-advocacy helped me to build the confidence that I needed to define and achieve my goals. Now that I am an employee of Aim High, I get to help other young people to build leadership skills and encounter experiences that will enrich their lives.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my own life and the grades and attitudes of the students we serve now.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

bring it to the South Bay. There is a great need for this kind of summer enrichment experience in the Silicon Valley where poverty lives among progress.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the fact that I found a safe, supportive place to develop my identity and make friends.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

role models

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide California -- and the country -- with a brighter future and a stronger economy.

Ways to make it better...

I had also worked at Aim High in high school.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

finding sustained, long-term partnerships for locations and donations.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
