The folks at Food and Water Watch were a pleasure to work with; they are genuinely passionate about the work they do and they go out of their way to stay informed about issues on a local and global scale. Furthermore, their work brings together diverse organizations in order to build powerful movements that intersect environmentalism, social justice, economics, and health concerns. Within the scope of their GE Salmon campaign, I thought it was especially great that they were collaborating with Native American nations and working-class fishing communities, which often find less support from "traditional" environmental organizations. If anything, I hope that they continue to pursue these alliances in order to continue their emphasis on the "justice" component of "environmental justice".
