My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Youthlinc, Salt Lake City, UT, USA
I went to Ocatlan Mexico as a professional mentor -- i am a social worker. I was able to provide consults to families there that had children with disabilities. I learned so much about the wonderful Mexican culture. It was difficult to see how the children's lives were affected by poverty in that they were unable to get many of the services that we take for granted in the US. The Rotary group that sponsored us was so welcoming and helpful.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help people from all over the world better understand each other -- that kind of compassion and tolerance could change our world!
Ways to make it better...
I hadn't gotten sick while I was down there!
