My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Aim High, San Francisco, CA, USA
I'm a current high school student and also a volunteer at aim high. I graduated summer of 2008 and it's really fun there. Because it's a rather small class, you automatically become friends for 3 consecutive summers. One thing that really helped was boosting my self confidence which really helped in high school. Teachers are great since you can easily relate to them since they're incredible people and never leaves anyone out. And then, there's tons and tons of different activities where you learn so much more new things, like movie making, movie editing, making clothes, going on hikes around your neighborhood and learning about stuff you never learned before.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
kind and I could easily relate to them. You could go up to anyone of them and they would treat you as if you knew each other since forever.
Ways to make it better...
I was actually there for 3 years, but it's rather a personal thing I had to deal with.
