As an Administrator for Foster Care & Adoptions here in Broward County, Florida I had seen what happens to children who are removed from their families. Even when placed with outstanding Foster Families, these children just wanted to be home with their "Mommy". The vast majority of the children were placed in care due to an addiction issue in the family. The susan B Anthony Recovery Center removes the number one barrier for women to enter substance abuse treatment programs - that is not wanting to leave their children to relative or state care. This wonderful center provides a safe place for the entire family to live while providing the intensive services needed by both the women and their children.
