I was recruited by another Board Member several years ago when MH was a single location on Main St. in Santa Ana and not doing well financially. I was thoroughly impressed with it's leadership and plans of getting men off the street and into a shelter. Larry Haynes is a very dedicated individual who actually cared for those he helped in the home. As a Board member we all began to focus our efforts on fund raising as we only had enough funds to last 6 months. Within a short time frame we were able to raise enough to open another house next door for homeless women and children and the word got out that we were a very good and reputable charity worthy of donations throughout the Orange County area. Over time MH has grown to a very large organization helping those in need and I am very proud of having been a part of it during it's early years in Santa Ana.
