Review for Romania Animal Rescue Inc, Livermore, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been working with Nancy and Romania Animal Rescue for one year and I have personally witnessed their wonderful work in Romania:
1) Nancy Janes and Romania Animal Rescue Inc spayed / neutered 500 dogs in Iași starting from April 2011, complying with a partnership contract with Iași Town Hall and the project is ongoing. RAR helped to rescue and rehome 8 dogs from Iași. The doggies s / n in Iași by RAR are registered, have ear-tages and have been tattoed and their numbers and photos are archived in the public register of Iași Town Hall.
2) RAR and Nancy Janes carried out a school educational project in Iași during 2010 - 2011 school year, also based on a contract with Iași Town Hall.
3) I personally took part at the Spayathon in Craiova where RAR funded 1200+ spay / neuter procedures for dogs and cats. Nancy personally got involved and work alongside the volunteers from Craiova and the local NGO, Speranța pentru Animale and also together with great US volunteers who came to help and support Nancy and Rory in Craiova. At the big Spayathon RAR funded s / n procedures for local shelter dogs, strays, but also for dogs and cats brought by their owners to be S / N by RAR great vet team.
and this is only my personal experience....But just like me, there are more other persons Nancy and RAR helped, individuals from RO but also Romanian charities like GIA, APAM, Speranța pentru Animale Craiova. Last month, RAR payed for spay / neuter in Ploiești where FPCC vet teams did the procedures.

Role:  Volunteer & I am supervising the spay / neuter project carried out in Iași in partnership with the Town Hall, I run the educational school program for young 1st grade and Nancy helped me rescue and rehome 8 dogs paying for their vet care, vaccinations, EU passports a.

I am grateful and really appreciate the work of this organization, Romania Animal Rescue, a very well known animal welfare organization in Romania. I have personally worked with RAR for more than a year now and with their enormous support we have accomplished great things in Iasi, Romania. RAR set up 2 partnership contracts with Iasi Town Hall: one contract is for funding free spay / neuter for the strays in Iasi, started in April 2011, providing 50 monthly procedures; and the second contract was for the school educational program for little kids from 1st grade up to 8th grade teenagers, run by professional teachers, myself included. I have worked with Nancy on a big spay and neuter marathon, with 1400 surgeries of dogs and cats carried out over 10days in Craiova, and the costs were all covered by RAR. And Nancy worked all day long during the marathon, she got involved 100% together wih other volunteers form US. Nancy also helped me with the adoption of 8 dogs, animals that wouldn't have stand a chance if left in Romania. Our work in Iasi is ongoing, RAR spayed / neutered 450 doggies here and we are still counting.....Thank you so much Nancy for all your great work, for your enormous efforts to help me and all the others from Romania. We know your work and admire it greatly!

Review for Animal People Inc, Clinton, WA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Merritt Clifton is the editor for Animal People and according to evidence he has given donor names and contacts to the fraudulant charity ROLDA, Romania League in Defense of Animals. This scam organization registered in Galați, Romania does NOTHING good for the animals around here, helps nobody, only steal precious donations, as Dana Costin lives a wonderful luxurious life using the money for personal benefits. Merritt Clifton, Animal People's editor is the Trustee for Romania League in Defense of Animals and he has given donor information to Dana Costin of ROLDA, he fell in love with Dana Costin and is now soliciting for her from Americans. Animal People calls itself the charity "WatchDog", yet their editor, with full knowledge of the thefts of ROLDA, solicits and promotes them. This is a shame, cause so many Romanians know all about this Rolda scam and about the coniving thief, Dana Costin. Dana Costin is an embarrassment for Animal People and she should be removed from her capacity of Rolda President. Animal People should better start look into all evidence and dismiss Merritt Clifton from ever endorsing such a scam!

Dana Costin projects the image when fundraising that she/Rolda is financially responsible for 500+ dogs.At other times when it suits her agenda she will openly state that the large shelter is solely funded by Arcelor Mittal. The actual truth is that Arcelor Mittal (one of the most successful steel companies in the world and the largest employer in Galati) pays for everything for the “ROLDA Second Shelter” aka “ROLDA Large Shelter”. ALL the dog Food, ALL veterinary care including neuter and spay, ALL building works, ALL employees salaries, ALL the costs to purchase a van and it’s gasoline, etc, EVERYTHING!! Dana Costin manages the shelter. Whether she receives a salary or not is unclear as on a continual basis she changes her statements from being an “employee” to “volunteer” and back again. The reality is that Dana as the founder of Rolda is financially responsible for the dogs at her small Rolda shelter a few miles down the road from the larger shelter. At this Rolda shelter (the one that doubles as her private pension/boarding kennels for pay) there is a maximum capacity for 60 dogs, for the most part and dogs that arrive at this Rolda shelter are usually taken from the large Arcelor Mittal funded shelter, having had all their veterinary treatment beforehand paid for by Mittal. Leaving absolutely nothing for Rolda to pay for barring one caretaker at the small Rolda shelter who would be paid an average Romanian wage of not more than $300 a month.

Dana does not even buy food for the dogs at the Rolda shelter as she takes what food is needed for the Rolda shelter from the food supplies at the larger Mitall shelter. (see Chrissy Phillips Testimonial)

Dana Costin stated 2011 – ” I am NOT Mittal employee I am volunteer for Foundation. I take no salary from working with and for dogs!Mittal sponsored the large shelter facility (building), as well as the daily costs like food, salaries for workers, vet treatments and sterilizations.Mittal doesn’t sponsor the Adoption Center, this is kept “alive” and in function from donations coming from private supporters”

Lelia Creanga - the puppies that you handed to our driver to help you save them from streets are OK. They are hoping you didn't forgot them....as you did. It passed almost a year and you simply don't care about them, at least to see them...What kind of soul do you have?! I told you that you are invited in our shelters to see the precious pups/ growing babies now...what's the problem?! Are you afraid that someone will replace kissing harder the posterior of Nancy Janes, if you disappear for a while?! It takes only few hours the trip back and forth Galati -Iasi and you'll take the backkisser place quickly....after that! My response to ROLDA: (1) Please, try and learn English language! (2) ROLDA never invited me to visit their shelter(s), quite the opposite, they did not want to answer my phone calls after the pups arrived there, I could talk to them only one time.... (3) I DO NOT kiss the posteriors of anybody...this nasty language should be banned from such a serious site! I do not have to kiss anybody's posterior....ROLDA, I met and talked to some of your former employees, they do have some horrible stories to tell about your real activity! You cannot sue anybody for telling the truth, according to the law YOU are bound to prove your innocence and to dismiss those allegations! In a Court of Law, everything has to be revealed and proved! The truth may not have a positive effect for ROLDA!

Hi, everybody! I cannot believe, for the love of God, the comments and nasty review submitted by this Lori character. My name is Lelia Creangă, from Iași, Romania and I have been working with RAR for one year! During this year, RAR has accomplished a lot of things: 2 partnerships with the Town Hall for the educational school program and for funding free spay / neuter project. RAR carried out the educational program under my supervision during 2010-2011 school year and has been carrying out the spay / neuter program since April 2011. RAR and Nancy Janes fund 50 free spay / neuter procedures per month. Since I got involved with RAR, I took part as a volunteer at the Spayathon organized in Craiova, where RAR and Nancy Janes funded 1400 free spay / neuter procedures. Nancy Janes helped me rescue and rehome some 8 dogs...So, I really appreciate and I am grateful to RAR and to Nancy for all the great work they have been doing in Romania! I truly admire RAR involvement in funding The Veterinary Training Camp to teach and train young vets to be proficient regarding surgery skills!
