My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for RedRover, Sacramento, CA, USA
I have deployed as a Red Rover Responder 7 times in less than 8 months. What a great organization; very appreciative of their volunteers and always putting them and the animals' care and safety first.
I am very proud to wear my red shirt when on any deployment!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
offer more training opportunities so my friends can join in!
Would you volunteer for this group again?
For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?
Did the organization use your time wisely?
Would you recommend this group to a friend?
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
I have met so many hard working, good-hearted, and genuinely wonderful people on my deployments. Whether they be the shelter managers, team leaders, other volunteers or those in the community, I have connected with so many people and established relationships that have continued long after demobilization.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
Each deployment is unique and offers different experiences. The work is very hard but also more rewarding than anything I've ever done. I truly feel appreciated by the organization, the communities affected and of course, the animals we interact with. Knowing that I helped in making a positive change in the animals' life is worth the time and effort.
